I have had hearing aids for just under a year, and while they seemed to improve things at first, it feels like my hearing is worse now than when I started. Has my hearing deteriorated, or what else could be going on?
It is important to discuss this with your audiologist. If you suspect your hearing has deteriorated, your audiologist will do a hearing test and this will answer your question. Your hearing aids can be fine-tuned by your audiologist if your hearing has deteriorated or the audiologist may decide to increase their gain if they feel that that is necessary.
