I have free hearing aids. They are behind-the-ear (BTE) aids. One won’t stay in my ear. They have changed the bit that goes into my ear a few times, but it still comes out. How can this be fixed?
You need to speak to your audiologist and ensure they understand exactly what is happening. Document when it happens and record whether it’s during specific activity or movement, or whether you might be sweaty at the time etc.
There are different size domes available, and if they do not sit well in the ear, a mould may have to be made. An impression will need to be taken so that when the mould is made, it fits securely in your ear.
There may be a cost involved in supplying a mould.
